Y.R.P In Position for new Final Fantasy X-2 HD Shots
Although Final Fantasy X-2 doesn’t quite manage to live up to the original in terms of fan nostalgia, I can’t imagine anyone felt the Final Fantasy X re-release was complete without having its sequel available as well. For many who experienced the story of Tidus, Yuna, Auron and company for the first time in the last few years, getting hold of a copy of X-2 might not have been easy (or, arguably, even worth it).
Still, these new screenshots, released today by Square Enix, prove that X-2 looks like it deserves to be part of the collection, if nothing else. While it was slightly camper than its predecessor, it offered fans of the original adventure the chance to catch up on characters they came to love, and it wouldn’t surprise me if, after all these years, people could now look at X-2 in a slightly different way.
Although available on a single disk for PS3, players that wish to own the classic PS2-era RPGs on PlayStation Vita will need to buy Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 separately.
