Trine 2 Coming to PlayStation 4
There’s a Finnish games convention over the next few weeks, and a run down of the events reveals Frozenbyte will be announcing Trine 2 for PlayStation 4. Whoops!
This is good news for anybody that hasn’t already gotten it (either through the various Humble Bundles or through PlayStation Plus). Trine 2 is an absolutely stunning game, a fairytale puzzler that’ll occasionally have you scratching your head. It’s also an absolutely beautiful game, and although it didn’t suffer much by being released on the PlayStation 3, double dippers will definitely see a difference.
Trine puts you in the role of one of three fantasy archetypes, and places you in the middle of an adventure that has you moving blocks by magic, fighting endless demons and goblins, and swinging from place to place. The 3D worked very well, so hopefully that will be a feature that makes it over to the next-gen port.
Frozenbyte had a fairly difficult time getting Trine 2 released to the EU territories on PlayStation 3, so here’s hoping things see a smoother launch this time around. Although I don’t think there was any reason ever formally given for the delay, it seems it failed QA at the time. It was later added to PlayStation Plus.
Trine 2 will be revealed at 5:30 PM on November 1st.
