What you find in Code Name S.T.E.A.M*. is not your usual London. Instead, you'll find a London powered by steam, full of aliens and...Abraham Lincoln? Yup, this iconic America hero, as well as many other real and fictional characters, all team up to rid London of the nasty alien pests; while this sounds completely wacky - which it is - it also works really well, making it one of the best turn based games I've played in a long time.

Fantasy Life really is a fantasy. But it's a good fantasy, and one that will take up a lot of your time. It's not everyday you get to swap between 12 different occupations, ranging from fighting to crafting to gathering, but in this charming and addictive title from Level-5, you can. Although the game struggles with some pacing issues throughout, the overall charm and depth of the game makes the smaller issues seem unimportant.

Super Smash Bros has been one of Nintendo's biggest franchises, and although it may not have the following that Mario Kart does, there are still millions of people around the world who long for the generational Smash Bros games. While we all anticipate the Wii U launch in November, Nintendo is treating us to the first handheld edition of the game, Super Smash Bros 3DS.

Titles that fuse together two unique play styles and characters often suffer in the end from attempting to please both fan bases, inevitably pleasing neither. Fortunately, this is not the case in Level-5 and Capcom's latest release, Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney. Although the title is not without its shortcomings, the overall product is a must have for fans of either series.

A few years back, PopCap released their mega hit title Plants vs Zombies. It definitely wasn't the first in its genre, but it was one of the best. People have tried to replicate this formula to varying degrees of success. One company, Circle Entertainment, has done an admirable job with their latest title, Demon King Box for 3DS.

Giving games the HD treatment is not a new concept. In fact, companies have been doing it for years, and will likely continue for the foreseeable future. Not only is it an importunity for developers to make more money, but it is also an oppertunity for fans to relive some of the best games that are, more than likely, unavailable for them presently. When Nintendo releases a game, it is generally a normal experience. At the worst, it's perhaps a Mario game with a twist, ala Mario Galaxy. However, Nintendo's latest release - yes, this game has been available in Japan for over a year - is completely off the wall. For a title that does so little, Tomodachi Life is insanely addicting, witty, and often downright strange. It does, however, deserve your attention!

Yoshi has appeared sporadically throughout the Mario universe, playing major roles in numerous games, and providing cameos in others. In 1995, Yoshi was deemed important enough to be given his own game, and little has changed in the spin-offs and sequels since. Yoshi's New Island, available now for the 3DS, is a familiar platform adventure on a new handheld. Although the core of the game is the same, a few new implementations are less than spectacular, making Yoshi's latest adventure feel like a broken version of the older titles.

April Fools Day always provides a number of fun Internet gags. One of the most high profile jokes this year was from Google, and it involved Pokemon. Using Google Maps, players could search for all original 150 Pokemon and become a Pokemon Master. They even went as far as to 'promise' a position in the company for anybody that could Catch 'em all. Although the job was a farce, the game was real and playable. This prank from Google made me think about where Pokemon is at and where it is going.

Thursday marks the first releases of the previously promised Gameboy Advance games on the Wii U console.  The first titles are have been revealed, and if releases of this caliber continue, it should be a good move by Nintendo.  During the next store update, you can expect to get your hands on Mario and Luigi: Super Saga, Metroid Fusion, and Advance Wars.  3DS owners will be able to grab Super Monkey Ball 3D and Bubble Pop World.
