Bomberman has been a household name for well over a decade now, and the little bomb dropping crew is back with an update on the previously released Super Bomberman R title. Now with all the added DLC from the original, Super Bomberman R Shiny Edition has hit the PS4, and those looking for some Bomberman action are in luck! Let's dive in!

When Ubisoft first announced their brand new franchise titled The Crew, perspective fans were painted a picture of cruising across the United States, going from major city to major city, and enjoying everything in between. Console owners were promised a wide variety of cars, a great deep story, and plenty of races and events to take part in. And while Ubisoft delivered on some of those promises, what ultimately landed in the laps of gamers was a half finished racing game which attempted to shoe-horn in a story about murder.

Just last month, Sony and Santa Monica Studios wow'd us with the release of God of War, a reboot of the popular franchise on modern consoles that not only surpassed review expectations, but smashed sales records as well. To think that Sony could release another mega hit the next month was probably a pipe dream for many PlayStation owners, but I'm here to tell you they delivered. Detroit: Become Human is another phenomenal game on this generations best selling console, and for good reason: everyone experiences the game differently!

To fully appreciate a South Park game, you need to have a decent appreciation for the long running TV show, and inappropriate jokes. The Fractured But Whole is a dirty, inappropriate joke filled adventure that, if you take it to seriously, you will miss out on all the fun. For those easily offended, take a hard pass on this experience. But for those looking for a good laugh, despite personal beliefs - this is the experience for you.

Outside of Telltale titles were the story is king and gameplay is secondary, there are few games available today that blend both well, at the same time. God of War has done this, has blown my mind, and is definitely an early candidate for Game of the Year. With characters you will care about, a story that is interesting throughout, and a combat system - although it takes time to master - that is a lot of fun, there is little bad to say about this years best video game experience.

MLB The Show 18 is breaking any major new ground in their year-to-year baseball outing, but does slightly build on The Show 17 in enough ways to make picking up the latest iteration money well spent. While the new features brought into the game are mostly cosmetic, upping the games presentation, they do add value that will be important for those who likely pick up each iteration anyways. Those looking for a few causal rounds of baseball can probably pass on this years installment, but be warned: you'll miss out on one of the most realistic baseball ...

Japanese Roll Playing Games go with PlayStation like butter on bread, but not all JRPG experiences are the same, in terms of storyline, game mechanics, or overall quality. In 2018 - and when compared to what was released in 2017 - I firmly believe that Ni No Kuni 2 rises to the top, as one of the premier JRPG titles currently available on the PS4. While there are some questions around the games overall difficulty, and perhaps lack of variety at times, the overall package works really well, and is definitely a worthwhile purchase!

The Dynasty Warriors franchise has a huge following, and although I haven't bee playing the series for long - was drawn in during the Zelda remix days when Hyrule Warriors was released - I've come to enjoy the one-vs-hundreds model that the game seems to make work so well. In previous iterations of the franchise, players would prep for their battles and then jump in for an overview menu, dealing with each fight one at a time. In Dynasty Warriors 9, however, things get spun around, and you instead explore a vast open world. Does it work? Let's take a look!

Shadow of the Colossus is one of those must play experiences, regardless of your platform preference, but trying to get someone to go back to their PS2 - or try to even find a PS2 plus a copy of the game - can be a bit challenging. If you haven't had the opportunity yet to play Horizon Zero Dawn, you need to stop reading this article, head to your nearest retailer, and grab a copy. If not for a few heavy hitters from Nintendo, you'd likely be playing the Game of the Year; if you want my opinion on the matter, it stands a chance to win, regardless of what has been released so far this year! To extend the game play experience, the developers have released a large DLC expansion for the game title The Frozen Wilds, which adds a whole new biome for Aloy to explore, and quests to complete.
