Bioshock, the underwater shooter that had everybody on the internet using the phrase "would you kindly" at bemused non-gamers, is coming to iPhone and iPad. Yes, you read that correctly: one of the most notable console experiences of last generation is going to be entirely playable on your iOS device. It isn't even April.

Zen Pinball has paved the way for what pinball should feel like on your phone or tablet; they have set the bar for what good pinball is. Legendo Entertainment has their own Pinball client, but chose to release a standalone project: FCB Pinball, the official pinball app of the Barcelona Football Club.

Free-to-play titles are always difficult to review. Should they be reviewed without using in app purchases, or does a little money need to be spent to truly understand the game? The controversial albeit very popular game 'Weed Firm' has been taken down by Apple from the iTunes app store this week. In the game players take on the role of a drug dealer, tasked with growing and selling marijuana to people in their neighbourhood. The player must also avoid police and other rival gangs, with certain mini games including enticing a stripper to become a buyer fanning the flame of controversy even further.

Wayward Souls - the latest offering from Rocketcat Games, the minds behind Punch Quest - is the latest of this genre revival, following in the wake of other recent mobile and PC entries like FTL or Rogue Legacy. Players control one of six different character classes (three of which are locked from the start) as they fight through three increasingly difficult, procedurally-generated dungeons, casting spells and unleashing special attacks on the way.

Excited for the new Godzilla film but disappointed that there's not a video game tie-in to keep you going till the movie is released? Well, actually there is. Godzilla: Strike Zone is absolutely free, playable in web browsers and on smart phones, and it's actually surprisingly good.

RollerCoaster Tycoon for IOS has finally launched, and weeks of anticipation was destroyed by a horrendous pricing plan. While the game play is still reminiscent of the original tycoon classic, the unfortunate micro transactions makes it incredibly hard to have this game take up valuable space on the iPad.

If you’re a hardcore mobile phone gamer chances are you already know how frustrating it is to not be able to compete against of your friends just because they own an iPhone. While universal coding that will work on multiple platforms is still far from being a real thing, Google has made some serious efforts into trying to close the gap between platforms, their latest step in this matter being the release of a cross-platform game support between Android and iOS.

Usually the story in a video game uses the same techniques found in other mediums. Epic adventures that have clear beginnings and ends. No matter what sort of free-roaming choices there might be along the way, games tend to follow a linear series of events that lead the protagonist to The End.
