Surprise, surprise. Flappy Bird, the cultural phenomenon that came and went in just a few short weeks, might be making its way back to the app store. Its creator had originally said he couldn't handle the sudden fame, although it was estimated that he was racking in tens of thousands of dollars in ad revenue every day. Now, after creating an artificial demand for his game, he's let the dust settle and is considering bringing it back in the near future.

There aren't many games that let you build up amazing rollercoaster rides that end with the track suddenly dropping out and the death of thousands of your guests. That's what makes Rollercoaster Tycoon such an important franchise. Because if you don't terrorize innocent avatars, who on earth will? It's been a while since the last outing was released - almost 10 years - so fans may be happy to learn that Atari are teasing a new entry in the series.

Fancy a new phone but can't bring yourself to purchase something that no longer has access to Flappy Bird? What happens when you take a beloved cult series and bastardize it until it suits mass appeal? What happens when you add just enough reference to the original series that fans are interested enough to check it out, so interested that some might even open their wallet to see what surprises are hiding behind a paywall? These are no longer questions that need answering: in releasing Dungeon Keeper for iOS, EA have done us all a favour, showing exactly how not to revive something so well-loved.

It's been an awfully long time since the first episode of The Wolf Among Us was released, and that' s not good for episodic content. I don't remember which decisions I've made or who the main characters are, but I do remember two things: telling Bufkin to 'eff' off, and that final shocking twist in the closing moments of the game. Well, despite the gap, Telltale today released a new trailer for The Wolf Among Us: Episode 2, and that it'll be available to download next week.

A Japanese newspaper reckons Nintendo have been thinking up various ways of bringing their IP to mobile devices (or rather, bringing people who use mobile devices to their consoles). Not only has this been going on for the last few months, but they're about to announce exactly what these plans are.

Mice like cheese and anybody who's seen an episode of Tom and Jerry knows the lengths they'll go to get some. They don't mind disfiguring cats, using the dark arts, blackmailing relatives... so long as their bellies are full at the end of a long day, they odn't mind who they have to step on to get at them. World of Cheese is a puzzle game, spliced with a lot of hidden object for good measure. The only objective: get that cheese!

A brand new Jailbreak hack allows for users of iOS 7 to play controller-compatible games with a PlayStation Dualshock 3 controller. This is great news for those that want a controller for their phone but don't necessarily want to buy something new to go with it. It's easy to set up - presuming you already know the basics of a hacked phone - and will no doubt change the way some people play games on their phone.

It was the surprise fantasy detective story of 2013, but unfortunately Telltale's The Wolf Among Us disappeared of a lot of radars when the developer announced episode two wouldn't be available until 2014. Now, with the first episode of season two of The Walking Dead out of the way, Telltale have announced a more specific release date: the first week of February.
