I've never been a big fan of the Minecraft genre of games, mostly because of the graphical deficiencies, and because I feel I'm too dang old to start getting involved now. However, one game over the past year has really grabbed my attention, and I've spent hundreds of hours with friends and families building up little towns and villages complete with castles, homes, workshops, and more. I'm talking Portal Knights, one of the better sandbox titles to release this past year on console, and it is coming to Nintendo Switch.

The typical Pokémon generation of video games has been highlighted by two initial releases, followed by one ‘complete’ release. You had Pokémon Red and Blue, and then Pokémon Yellow. You had Gold and Siler, and then Crystal. You had Diamond and Pearl, and then Platinum, and so on. I played Resident Evil Revelations on the Wii U and liked it a lot. It was a lot like classic Resident Evil, expect with a better in-game camera! If you haven't had the opportunity yet to play Horizon Zero Dawn, you need to stop reading this article, head to your nearest retailer, and grab a copy. If not for a few heavy hitters from Nintendo, you'd likely be playing the Game of the Year; if you want my opinion on the matter, it stands a chance to win, regardless of what has been released so far this year!
