Warlock’s Tower

The Gameboy had some pretty cool puzzle games, such as Tetris, and it had some that have been forgotten. Warlock’s Tower feels like a game that could’ve been on the Gameboy, instead its on the Switch. Do I mean that in a good way or is Warlock’s Tower too much of a throwback? Here is my review of Warlock’s Tower for the Nintendo Switch. Warlock’s Tower seems like a really simple action puzzle game at first. Its graphics do not…

Team Sonic Racing Review

For many decades now, the kart racing genre has been dominated by one franchise, and while others have put together valiant efforts, nothing has quite reached the quality of Mario Kart. And I think companies have begun to realize a standard kart racer just won’t cut it anymore, and SEGA took that philosophy and delivered with Sonic Team Racing, available on the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. So what really makes this game different from all the rest? The…

Back in 1995

On the Playstation 1, I was a big fan of games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Survival Horror was a fun genre. Also, for the time, the graphics were good. Scan forward to now and you see that those PS1 classics don’t hold up as well graphics or gameplay wise. So what if a game came out today and was exactly like those games…on purpose? Welcome to my review of Back in 1995 for the Nintendo Switch. Back in…

More Thoughts From Me #172: My Horrible Xbox E3 2019 Predictions

I don’t want these predications to come true. I currently do not have an Xbox system. I still like Microsoft though and I want to see them do great. And I want to feel bad about not having an Xbox One or to really want that next system if its revealed. That said, I am always wrong with my predications about Microsoft related stuff. So, instead of predicating a great E3 2019 for Xbox…here is what could go wrong for…

Blood & Truth PSVR First Impressions

It has taken me a good month or two of daily PSVR time to become accustomed to this different way of playing games. Early on, I could manage the 3D for only 15 to 20 minutes. Then I worked up to a half hour, then an hour, and now with Blood & Truth, I've been able to go for almost 2 hours. Part of this is working up to that amount of time with the headset on, but a lot of it is that Blood & Truth is a fantastic experience that kept me engaged.

Rage 2 Review

Open world games are likely the hardest games to produce, even for the largest development teams. Because of time constraints and budgets, something is always going to get caught or downgraded to finish on time, and at least somewhere near the targeted budget. Skyrim, for example, was a fantastic experience, but suffered from lack of details in specific areas. When Bethesda announced – or more appropriately, Walmart Canada announced – Rage 2, I was wondering if we would see more…
