Top 3 Things We Want in a Pokémon Game on Switch

We all know that a Pokémon game is coming to the Nintendo Switch, hopefully in 2018, but the details of such a game are currently in the dark. Will it be an upgraded version of what has been working on handhelds for 20+ years, or will it be something in the vein of Pokémon Snap? Or, will Nintendo look to do something crazy and different, bringing the franchise in a new direction? My bet is on an experience that mimics the turn based games we've come to enjoy on Nintendo's handheld system, and after much conversation with my good friend Paul Hunter - you can ...

Pre-Purchase and Online Bonus Offers Gaining Traction

Announcing games before they are ready to be released is nothing new to the video game industry, but is becoming a more common trend for mobile experiences. Most of the major, up-and-coming experiences such as  the Game of Thrones free to play title, and Disney’s Magic Kingdom, all had pre-registration options that would gain you extra loot in the game. These hooks are more common as the marketplace gets more and more cluttered with copy-cat gaming experiences, so those with…

LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 Figures Available Now

The LEGO Minifigure series' have been insanely popular for The LEGO Group since their inception a number of years ago, and while I'm not big into collecting the generic sets - although they do make great extras when putting together a LEGO town! - I'm a big fan of the franchise sets, including the LEGO Simpsons, LEGO Ninjago, and of course, LEGO Batman! Beginning in 2018, it appears as if LEGO is doing something different with their baseplates, which is something I've been hoping for, for a long, long time! Check out the pictures below, and more details from ...

Nintendo Switch the Fastest Selling Console in US History

Despite an odd release date for a home console - March typically isn't when new consoles launch - Nintendo looks to have made the correct decision as it was announced this week that the Nintendo Switch is the fastest selling console in US video game history, within a 10 month span. Released March 3rd 2017 worldwide, Nintendo has had a very successful year after a lackluster 2016, and for many gamers, have been deemed the 'winners' of 2017.

Mad Catz is Back

After a several year Hiatus, Big Boy PR out of the UK announced today that Mad Catz was making a return to the accessories development marketplace, and had tons of new products and ideas in store for consumers. It's been a number of years since Mad Catz was a relevant brand; if my memory serves me right, their last major production project was the equipment for the Rock Band re-release, prior to that development being taken over by Performance Design Products when Mad Catz folded. Check out the video below, and get hyped for the return of Mad Catz!

Xbox Kinect Officially Dead

Despite stopping production on the Xbox One Kinect in November, Microsoft was still pumping out the adapters necessary to play the Kinect on the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X. Well, they were at least, until this week when it was announced that they have also ceased production on that item as well, officially killing the Kinect. This should come at no surprise as many wondered why the Kinect made the generational jump from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One in the first place. Regardless, it really is a good feeling knowing this aspect of Microsoft's home console ...

I inherited a farm, started raising crops, got some animals, and now I’m married too. My life has totally changed. No wait. Thats not my real life, thats Stardew Valley for Nintendo Switch! What’s going on?! I can’t stop playing Stardew Valley. I have been playing and reviewing other games, but I keep wanting to go back to Stardew Valley in between. Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft Consumer Report – From Least Concerned to Most in 2018

When the clock ticks past 11:59 PM on New Years Eve and everyone celebrates a new year, its hard not to reflect on the past year, and what’s to come, whether in our personal lives, professional lives, or even our gaming lives. Nintendo easily won 2017, despite Sony having a really good showing, and although Microsoft launched a new console this year, it seems to have already sold the bulk of its units to early adopters, as sales have drastically trickled off. But what does 2018 have in store? Can Nintendo maintain - let alone build on - the successes of 2018? ...
