When games are developed and released in Japan, western audiences sometimes feel left out. This was definitely the case for Dragon Quest 11, which was released in July of 2017 in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS and the PlayStation 4. When Nintendo isn't developing some kind of Mario title for their flagship consoles, you know there is a problem. Thankfully, no problem currently exists as a slew of Mario related titles either received major updates, given release dates, or were formally announced during the Nintendo Direct. Thanks to Square Enix announcing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and Final Fantasy 15 Pocket Edition HD early, we knew about these games already.
