Hitman: HD Trilogy Coming Soon
Hitman: HD Trilogy is a compilation package of titles within the Hitman video game franchise for Sony’s PlayStation 3 and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and is published by Square Enix. Titles included within the HD Trilogy are entirely remastered High Definition versions of Silent Assassin from 2002, Contracts from 2004, and Blood Money from 2006.Discerning fans of the franchise may notice that despite being called a trilogy, only the second through fourth titles are present. The initial title within the franchise, Hitman: Codename 47, was likely omitted from the HD Trilogy because it was only released on the PC. Another reason may lie with Hitman: Codename 47’s utilization of some game mechanics which differ from its later iterations.
This updated rerelease of the Hitman titles is intended to court new potential fans to the franchise, as well as to grab the attention of former fans who may have lost interest or disliked Hitman: Absolution. Furthering this revitalization is the inclusion of a special bonus disc, containing content related to Kane & Lynch: Dead Men.
Hitman: HD Trilogy profiles several games in this franchise about a grown assassin, programed to be the ultimate assassin and features the various missions he is ordered to execute, and is set for release within North America on January 29th, with a European release shortly thereafter on February 1st.
