Dead Space 3 Coming Soon

Dead Space 3 Prepare for a mission like none other on Feb. 5, 2013 (U.S.; Feb. 8, Europe), when one of Electronic Arts most-anticipated series of third-person shooter video games, Dead Space 3, lands on store shelves with an authoritative crash.

This iteration is set on Tau Volantic, an icy planet where heroes John Carver and Isaac Clark have crash-landed. They must navigate through a litany of obstacles to thwart yet another Necromorph infestation. These humanoid zombie-like creatures contiunally become resurrected by random “markers” that must also be destroyed before the team can successfully escape to warmer and more-hospitable surroundings.

EA subsidiary Visceral Games created Dead Space 3 with near-similar graphics and gameplay on not only the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 but also PC. Visceral Games’ Steve Papoutsis recently told that developers wanted “to deliver an experience that’s as similar as possible on different platforms.” That means yet another battle- and horror-filled journey into unknown celestial territory. The Dead Space 3 trailer shows off the game’s latest advances. These range from a reworked version of Phil Collins’ iconic “In the Air Tonight” to freshly designed weapons deck and alternate mission experiences for the game’s different protagonists.
