Hands on with FunRise Toys new TMNT Toys

A little while back I had written about a new line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys they were releasing. Well thanks to FunRise Toys, I received a care package in the mail with some goodies so I can write about firsthand experience with these very cool items ahead of the holiday shopping season.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Switch Kick Skaters

blank

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Switch Kick Skaters is a self-stabilizing skateboard that allows you to perform rad skate tricks, landing on all four wheels every time. The self-stabilizing mechanism (gyro) inside the skateboard is ripcord powered, so insert the ripcord, pull it out, and start performing the ultimate tricks. These things are pretty cool, and durable as hell. You can, and will, drop these things a lot to pull off some tricks. This might be a little harder to pull off for little hands, but the payoff is pretty cool. I was able to start balancing my turtles on top of the mailbox while spinning like a cyclone in no time. Hard to tell in the picture but the arms are also poseable. Even if your kids can’t pull off the tricks the characters do still roll really easily and thanks to the durability can take a beating for quite some time.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro Shell Racers RC

blank

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro Shell Racers are 3” 2.4 GHz full-function remote-controlled vehicles built for speed! Classically designed with your favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles driving an assortment of vehicles. The dual-purpose half shell controller opens to charge the RC vehicle. Perfect for playing on-the-go! A traditional Micro RC type car we have seen before. You utilize the shell as the controller but as an added bonus it’s also used to charge the car, so only one set of batteries needed and not multiple which is awesome. You simply flip open the red compartment and pull out the cord to charge your vehicle. My nephew and daughter had a blast with these, they can really move, I was impressed with the speed of them and again the durability is good as some kids aren’t as coordinated as others controlling them. So they often slammed into the kitchen table, cabinets, etc.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Half Pipe RC

blank

Play and perform like a real skater with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Half Pipe RC. It’s a full-function 2.4 GHz remote-controlled vehicle built to skate smooth and imitate realistic skateboarding moves. Designed with a movie-inspired style and your favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles riding the skateboard, the unique skateboard shaped controller makes it easy to gain speed, shift, and shred on any surface! You can collect each of the four turtles! This one was hands down my favorite of the group after I got to play with them all. Much like the micro racers, the vehicle this time also charges so batteries are only needed for the remote. Speaking of the remote, it has a super cool unique system i have never experienced before. Basically, the skateboard deck on the remote functions like it would in real life. Tip forward for speed, back to break and even tilt to angle your turtle to take turns. This one lead to a large number of giggles, playing and HOUR of entertainment…. then I had to recharge them again…

All in all, these are some high-quality toys at a very reasonable price. They were play tested by a 42-year-old man, 8-year-old girl and two-year-old boy…. and we all had a very fun time. HUGE thank you again to FunRise Toys.
