Last month, Xbox Canada was nice enough to send over a code so we could try out the Xbox Design Lab process. We've already detailed the design phase of product which you can read here, but now it's time to look at the actual product, compare it to the design, and determine how worthwhile this expensive adventure really is! Let's dive in and see how well Microsoft was able to construct the controller I designed!

Using Xbox Design Lab Online Software
Thanks to Xbox Canada, we got the chance to experiment with the Xbox Design Lab online software to create our own controller for the Xbox One (which we will review when it arrives). After receiving our credit for the review, I figured getting a controller designed would be a piece of cake. Unfortunately, a few hours later, I realized how wrong I was. Using the Xbox Design Lab software is both exciting and frustrating, not because of how the software works, but because of the number of options Microsoft offers to you!

The Xbox One X promises to produce some of the best looking graphics available on modern consoles, and companies have already been harnessing this power to create games that will look the best on Xbox One X. But why these two titles? Well, for myself, it's a personal decision based on settings.

Because of different interests, consoles rarely interact with each other. Yes, there is a healthy respect for each other, but Xbox is…

I use to get into “fights” on twitter a lot. I would say something (or I’d say something to somebody else), somebody would disagree with me, and we’d go back and forth until we both got fed up and unfollowed and/or blocked each other. The problem with fights on the internet, especially places like Twitter, is that nobody wins. EVER. If somebody has their mind made up, you are not likely to change it. So why do we feel the…

After getting all his chores complete and his homework finished, the highlight of my sons evening last night was busting open The Goonies level pack for LEGO Dimensions and putting together the wicked looking minibuilds that come included. After all these years, people are still wondering if Gordon Freemen will ever return. First introduced in Half-Life, Gordon was sent into an underground complex with nothing but a crowbar and his wits. Then came Half-Life 2, where Gordon had to survive City 17 with a crowbar and his wits. Oh sure you could get other weapons in both games, but come on, the crowbar was your most important tool. Short episodes, 1 and 2, were released to expand on…
