Go ahead and place me in the crowd of folks happy to see backwards compatibility come to the Xbox One. I fully believe it should have been there from the beginning, and now that it is here, my available game library has grown by a few titles. There is just one, general problem: is backwards compatibility merely a great marketing tool for Microsoft going forward, or will people take advantage of this when it launches in December?

Great news to all Xbox users as next week we get Microsoft's Ultimate Game Sale. It kicks off on July 7 and runs until July 13, 2015. There aren't complete details just yet and more to come as we get the news but this offer will bring us the best deals of the summer. Discounts of up to 50% on over 70 games across both Xbox 360 and Xbox One. A nice little bonus is added as well if you are an Xbox live Gold Member with an additional up to 10% off savings.

Great news has come our way as starting in July there will be two games offered on Xbox One instead of the standard one new game monthly. As seen in the above image Microsoft confirms that Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag will be offered throughout the entire month of July on Xbox One. While the new title So Many Me will be offered for a month as well but starting on July 16 until August 15.

EA has announced Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 for Xbox and as we would expect we saw the bold and very vibrant colored plants vs. zombies in a shoot off exchange during the announcement trailer.

EA Sports has announced the full version of the title NHL 16 for Xbox One and PS4 while also announcing NHL Legacy Edition for Xbox 360 and PS3. While the 360 and PS3 versions will include the usual popular modes and same gameplay as they have always included in the NHL games, the Xbox One and PS4 versions will reinstate features that were missing from NHL 15.

Disney Infinity 3.0 first leaked photos of Mulan, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Olaf from Frozen, and characters from Tron as well as characters from the new Disney/Pixar film "Inside Out". Today there are images showing Star Wars characters on the box art as well as the figures of Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars and Ahsoka from Clone Wars.

Microsoft has revealed the latest games of Xbox Live Games with Gold, with CastleStorm: Definitive Edition leading the way for XBOX One, Mafia II and F1 2013 heading onto XBOX 360.

While the allure of the new systems will entice a lot of people, take a step back and ask yourself: is it really worth it? I have played PS4 and the graphics capability of that system are outstanding. I've also had the privilege of playing the Xbox One, and the innovation that is on display in that system is definitely a sign of good things to come. But is buying any one of these systems truly worth it, especially right now?

Microsoft is looking to sell even more Xbox One systems after a very successful holiday season. Microsoft emailed customers with this offer which is currently available in North America at Microsoft Store locations. The email said, "Ditch your PS3 and get 100$ store credit towards Xbox One."
