Pokemon Detective Pikachu has been a big box office hit already, and like any good cinematic experience, the spinoff revenue has the potential of going through the roof. It's much easier with this Pokemon movie because of all the Pokemon merchandise that already exists. Now all that needs to be done is adding the Detective Pikachu elements, and sending them to retail!

Nintendo announced a Smash Bros Direct and a Treehouse Live for this Thursday. We have more details below and my thoughts on the two events. The Super Smash Bros Ultimate Direct will air on Thursday (11/1) at 10 a.m. ET and be 40 minutes long. If you've followed GamesReviews.com for a while now, you'll understand that we have a huge love for Pokémon. Whether it be the video games, the TV shows, the card game, and yes, even the movies, if it has to deal with Pokémon, we are really excited about it. Today, the Pokémon Company announced that they would be releasing Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us, which will be coming to select theatres world wide November 24, 26, 28 and December 1st. Nintendo at E3 2018 was a blast! We went back to visit my colleagues as the Nintendo Booth of E3 again this year. We had a lovely exchange and then Julie took me up to play the upcoming Nintendo Switch titles. Thank again to Nintendo of Canada for setting us up with this fantastic opportunity, as well as Julie for the fantastic tour once again!

After the Pokémon presentation last night where Pokémon Quest was revealed, I quickly hopped onto the Nintendo eShop and downloaded the game right away and took it for a spin. As a completely different experience than any past Pokémon titles - outside of perhaps Pokémon Rumble - I wasn't sure what to expect! Where my early impressions of this free-to-start experience good?
