Satisfactory belongs to a genre of games that I like to call “comfy crafters”.  That is, as you spend a long weekend building a sprawling industrial plant that grows ever out of control, you take a moment to step back and look at what you have created.  Standing on a planet all alone with no other life forms to share this world with naught but the native flora and fauna, you breathe deeply and stare off like Shrek at the beginning of his first film, gazing at his swamp as the first bars of 'All Star' play. It feels like home.

For a game that received so much hype upon its release, with a large number of big-name streamers playing it, we have heard very little about World War 3 in the months following. I decided to take a follow-up look at the game to see the state of play in 2019. Can it shake the pre-launch hype curse, or will it be just another victim of over-excitement and under-performance? Earlier today, Ubisoft announced the full details for The Division 2 Post-Launch content, including the entire year of free content as well as the Year 1 Pass. This content follows The Division 2's endgame focus by giving players a full year of free post-launch updates with additional Episodes, major content updates, missions, PvP and PvE game modes, and specializations. Each specialization brings a new signature weapon and an entirely unique skill tree to unlock and master as players take on these new high-level challenges.

Released last December by developer The Bearded Ladies Consulting and publisher Funcom, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is a turn-based tactical RPG that utilizes elements of real-time stealth and an intriguing storyline to bring an experience that can only be described as a next-level XCOM. The devs draw this parallel themselves, and with the two so closely linked, one has to wonder if Mutant Year Zero can do enough to set itself apart from its own inspiration.
