Week One of the Countdown to 2016 was great for sales on Xbox One, and the second week of mega deals is no different. There is some significant savings on some great games, as well as small discounts on recently released titles. If you have had an Xbox One for a while, or just received one for Christmas, there are lots of great games for you to get your hands on. Below is the list of titles available this week. Enjoy!

Originally sported on iOS then released on Android and now ported over to Xbox One, we have a very fun Angry Birds type game with Super Party Sports: Football. The game is quite fun and for the $4.99/£3.99 price tag it makes it an inexpensive way to enjoy a puzzle game like this.

Microsoft has put out a slew of Windows Games on sale for Black Friday today but also to celebrate the recent release of Windows 10.

Microsoft has started their annual Black Friday Sale at the digital Xbox Store, giving us discounts on content such as games, season passes, apps and movies across Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles. We have provided all of the Xbox One and Xbox 360 games are below.

November's Games with Gold has been announced by Microsoft and it continues with two games for Xbox One and two for Xbox 360 starting on November 1st. Owners of an Xbox One will get the chance to play Pneuma: Breath of Life which has been out and available since February of this year. Xbox One users will also get the new game Knight Squad to round out the games for the new generation system.

This year, Microsoft unveiled their Xbox One Elite controller, a controller that any one who plays console video games would love to have. Unfortunetly, the price here in Canada is pushing 200$ after you factor in taxes. For that kind of money, you could almost get a Wii U! Today, Microsoft announced the Xbox One Elite bundle was available to preorder.

The rising price of AAA video games at Canadian retail locations is making me wonder something: how long can consumers continue to pay the high price of games? Best Buy Canada and Amazon Canada have been offering a bunch of pre-order incentives for games announced at E3 2015. With a 5-10$ discount, these retailers are charging 64.99 - 69.99; that means the regular price on these titles is 74.99 - 79.99. With a 13% sales tax in Ontario, that means a brand new AAA tilte at full cost could set back consumers 90.00, or roughly 1/5 the price of an Xbox One or PS4.

Go ahead and place me in the crowd of folks happy to see backwards compatibility come to the Xbox One. I fully believe it should have been there from the beginning, and now that it is here, my available game library has grown by a few titles. There is just one, general problem: is backwards compatibility merely a great marketing tool for Microsoft going forward, or will people take advantage of this when it launches in December?

Great news to all Xbox users as next week we get Microsoft's Ultimate Game Sale. It kicks off on July 7 and runs until July 13, 2015. There aren't complete details just yet and more to come as we get the news but this offer will bring us the best deals of the summer. Discounts of up to 50% on over 70 games across both Xbox 360 and Xbox One. A nice little bonus is added as well if you are an Xbox live Gold Member with an additional up to 10% off savings.
