During a video posted on Facebook, Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma announced that the newest Legend of Zelda game would be delayed. Although no release date was initially given when first announced, it was hoped that the game would get released during holiday 2015.

Nintendo isn't known for branching out and trying new things. They milk their franchises, and not in a bad way. While many companies tend to produce shovelware, where the brand sells the game rather than the gameplay itself, Nintendo almost always brings AAA experiences to the table. With Hyrule Warriors, however, Nintendo has done something unprecedented for the company: they handed one of their most important franchises to another company to use. There's been a lot of talk about the "new" Link in the Legend of Zelda Wii U trailer shown at the Nintendo E3 Digital event earlier this week. The character has always looked feminine, but this time around it was enough to seriously question his gender, and people did. This wasn't helped when Eiji Aonuma was asked why Link looked so different: “No one explicitly said that that was Link.”

We've all been waiting a long time for a new console entry in the Legend of Zelda franchise, and while Hyrule Warriors probably wasn't what the majority of us had in mind, it's in no way a bad thing. It'll offer a fresh look at Zelda's kingdom, and will probably benefit quite a bit from the Dynasty Warriors style. Despite all that, there's still a lot we don't know about the game. This is especially surprising when you realize that it's only a few months away from release.

It's not unusual for the crafty sort to paint controllers or even consoles, and there's some really amazing stuff out there. The Legend of Zelda is a regular source for fans, and we've all seen custom Wiis, Gamecubes, controllers and Gameboys masked with Gorons, fairies and Zoras. Less usual is to find Zelda-releated fan art on PlayStation products, but one person has bucked expectation.

What's the fastest you've ever finished Ocarina of Time? Chances are, it was quite a while. Child Link's sections can be beaten in a few hours, if you know what you're doing and don't get sidetracked, but the Adult Link stuff - and I'm thinking the Water Temple here - can be quite frustrating. Still, Ocarina can be beaten much quicker, if you know what you're doing. In less than 20 minutes, actually. And that includes over three minutes for the opening cut scene.

If you have ever played a game with a guy in a green costume, who is generally always sleeping at the beginning of his adventure, then you've probably played a Legend of Zelda game at some point. Nintendo's latest Zelda release for the 3DS has received much attention since being released, including a number of Game of the Year nominations from multiple prominent media outlets. So what makes yet another Zelda game so appealing and fun?

Hyrule Warriors/Zelda Musou, is a brand new action fighting game scheduled for release on the Wii U sometime in 2014, and is being developed in collaboration with Tecmo Koei, creators of the Dynasty Warriors franchise.

Although Nintendo had previously confirmed that changes were being made to Wind Waker HD, due for release later this year, there were some people that were still a little cloudy on exact what it was they were talking about. For those of us who played it back in the day, it was pretty obvious what needed to be changed, and in today's Nintendo Direct, they confirmed, without any room for ifs and buts, that the final part of Wind Waker has been "rebalanced" for Wind Waker HD.
