The composer behind classic cult horror franchise Resident Evil is something of a legend in Japan. Sometimes called 'Japan's Beethoven,' Mamoru Samuragoch claimed to have written some of the most iconic music in gaming history - while completely deaf. He's accepted the praise for it for almost twenty years, until it's come out that he didn't actually write all of it, and he's probably not even deaf.

Capcom have announced that Marvel Vs Capcom 2 and 3 will be leaving digital stores over the next week or so, depending on your location. The superhero brawler will be leaving both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, as well as all the DLC available. You should still be able to download it if you've already paid for it.

Sony is going viral with the Playstation 4 in their latest teaser video for a company called Hadouken Cabs. The advertisement is 31 seconds of strangeness that could be hinting at a future Street Fighter title for Sony's soon-to-be-released next-gen console. Check it out below.

Capcom have announced that they'll be making redundant more than half of their EU-based staff. This follows under performance for many of the last released games, including Resident Evil 6, DMC: Devil May Cry and Lost Planet 3.

GameSpy was once the centre of online gaming, boasting server support for over 400 games, but it has more recently dropped into disuse, with its name popping up less and less. That's partly ebcause developers see more value in services like Steamworks, which are integrated right into where people are buying and collecting their games anyway.

Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting and Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers will all be coming to the Wii U Virtual Console this week, at least Nintendo seem to reckon so.

Professor Layton Vs Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney was one of the games that convinced me a 3DS was worth buying. It was originally announced in 2010 and was released in Japan at the end of last year. It didn't look like it was ever going to see a Western Release. As a last minute surprise in today's Nintendo Direct, however, it was revealed that Professor Layton, Luke, Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey will be coming to western 3DS consoles early next year.
