Doraemon Story of Seasons Review

We’ve been playing Doraemon Story of Seasons for two weeks now, and have thoroughly enjoyed our time in Natura, engaging with the various citizens, solving problems, and working on finding a way back to the present. We ran over the setting up of the story in our Story of Seasons Prologue article, so be sure to read that – now we dive into the nitty gritty of this experience, and spoilers…it’s really good!

Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition Review

The Tales franchise has been one of Japan’s most popular game franchises over the last few decades and while there has been some favorable attention in the west, the franchise has yet to hit the mainstream. Hopefully that will all change, as Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition will be one of the first tales games to be released across all major platforms, at the same time.

Dark Souls Remastered

The original Dark Souls is still one of the best games in the franchise, and it was no shock that Bandai Namco planned to remaster the title for the Xbox One and PS4, and later for the Nintendo Switch. The key word in this whole process is remastered, which means this isn't simply just a rerelease, or is it a definitive version with loads of DLC. Instead, this game has been rebuilt (in part) from the ground up to appeal to modern console owners. Does it hit the mark so many years later? We think so.

Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom Preview

Few Japanese Role Playing Games in the last decade have grabbed me quite like Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom has. The last few JRPG's that had a huge impact on me - in terms of how much I wanted to play them compared to the other games I owned - were probably Tales of Symphonia back on the Nintendo Game Cube, and Tales of Vesperia on the Xbox 360. I've always taken a liking to the Tales franchise, but in recent years, I've been fairly disappointed in their offerings. Tales of Berseria was good, but not what I had hoped. Once I got a few hours into Ni No Kuni ...

Press Release: Project Cars 2 Demo Available Now; DLC coming Winter 2017

Project Cars 2 has been on of the better racing games to release in 2017, and there have been a lot of them. During our time with the game earlier this fall, we felt that the second iteration of this fairly new franchise was leaps and bounds better than the original, and were glad Bandai Namco stuck with it for another installment. For those who have shown interest, but are unsure if they want to spend the money, Bandai Namco announced today that they are releasing a demo for Project Cars 2 on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, to celebrate the soon-to-release ...

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Review

Although wildly popular, I've never been a huge fan of the Dragonball Universe nor do I have an affinity for fighting games. That being said, Dragonball Xenoverse 2 does everything a little bit different, making it the ideal game for long time fans and new players. While jumping into franchises with years and years of history is often a daunting task, the story and flow of Xenoverse 2 is the perfect combination of story, characters, and combat that will work for long time fans and new arrivals. Even though a fighting game is pretty low on my list of must play ...

Project Cars 2 Review

Project Cars was a very ambitious title from Bandai Namco a few years ago, and while the aspirations and resources were there, the game fell a bit flat when you compared it to its direct competitors, including the Forza series. Everyone who played Project Cars - myself included - knew there was something there that just needed a bit more work, and thankfully, the developers stuck with it and just recently gave us Project Cars 2. The sequel builds on the original in many ways, making it perhaps the best simulation racing title available on the market.
