Tomb Raider Profitable “From the End of Last Year”

A lot was made of the "irresponsibility of publishers" when Square Enix announced Tomb Raider was a stinking failure (although they didn't use those words). Despite the fact it had managed to push millions and millions of units in a matter of months, it had still not been profitable. While Crystal Dynamics' latest had garnered sales most developers would never even think possible, it still managed to sit in the red.

Deadly 30 Review

The developers behind Deadly 30 absolutely have to be zombie game fans. It's a cunning combination of Call of Duty's Zombies, Left 4 Dead and a dozen other supernatural franchises that have defined the last few years of undead-erific fun. It's not a complicated idea: survive. But that's not quite as easy as it sounds, and it'll take every second of your 30 day "holiday" to really make it out alive.

DayZ Sold One Million in a Month

It might not be taking on the likes of Grand Theft Auto, but the standalone edition of DayZ is doing incredibly well. In only a single month it has managed to sell a million copies on Steam, something that's incredibly impressive by almost any standard. It's doing even better when you realize it's currently part of Steam's Early Access initiative and it's not even properly released yet (or, rather, not in a fully stable state).

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Review

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance sent up some red flags when it was announced; it didn't have Snake as a playable character, it wasn't part of the main Metal Gear storyline, and it was an action game with very little of Metal Gear's genre-defining stealth gameplay. However it was developed by Platinum Games, the studio behind Bayonetta, so it wasn't such a surprise that Revengeance turned out to among the best action games of 2013. Alas, it was only available for consoles, leaving PC Gamers out of the loop until now.
