When I heard another Sonic game was going to be release, I - along with almost everyone else - was pretty skeptical as things have not been great as of late for the blue blur. That being said, I've looked forward to every Sonic release since first playing the games back on the SEGA Genesis, so despite having some reservation about how this title would perform, I had some nostalgic excitement none-the-less. After ...
If you are old - and we are talking born in the 70s - you probably remember playing a number of classic arcade games like Dig Dug, Pacman, and of course, Galaga. If you ever really enjoyed these early 80s and 90s games, you can now get a good number of them in the Namco Museum title which recently released on Nintendo Switch. Included in Namco Museum are the following titles:
Overcooked has been available before, but players were tied to their consoles if they wanted to play. With the Special Edition launch on the Nintendo Switch, Overcooked is now available on the go, and it is one of the best, handheld/tabletop Nintendo Switch experiences to date. While the game will pose strong challenges to those playing by themselves, it's still incredibly rewarding to complete each level, and ...
I and Me is a beautiful and charming puzzle game that is sure to make you smile more than once as you play through the numerous levels. Although perhaps it would have been nice to have more content, what is available for players to enjoy is sufficient enough to warrant its own release. Overall, I and Me is something any puzzle fan should consider picking up!
Not many games entice me to be online often like Splatoon 2 when it comes to Nintendo products. Even with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, I generally spend way more time offline with friends locally, than online with strangers! I suck at first person shooters, and I generally play adventure title, almost exclusively. About there is something unique about Splatoon that makes me come back again and again, and I'm not sure I ...
If you haven't heard or played ARMS yet on the Nintendo Switch, there is a good chance you've been living under a rock. Although initially fans were unsure what to think, recent Testpunch events have changed the opinion of many, making ARMS one of the most intriguing releases this year. If ARMS was simply a 1v1 fighting game, perhaps it wouldn't have much mainstream success, but with the addition of many new ...
Disgaea 5 Complete on the Nintendo Switch isn't a game that I was really looking forward to, but media friends pushed me to give it a try calling it one of the best turn-based strategy games available to date. With reluctance, I began my review, and it wasn't long before I was hooked on the depth of strategy presented to me during each and every battle. Even for those who think turn based strategies aren't for ...
Over the last few weeks we have been looking at various PowerA accessories for the Nintendo Switch. We gave rave reviews to the Joy-Con grip, and thought that the Joy-Con charging dock was a must own for anyone hoping to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe frequently. But what happens when you want to bring your Switch on vacation, or to a friends house? There are only a few official options right now, and the Everywhere ...
Last week, PowerA was nice enough to send over a box full of great Nintendo Switch accessories, and this week we will be reviewing each and every one of them! Yesterday, we showed the incredible value of the PowerA Joy-Con Charging Dock which charges up to 4 Joy-Con controllers at one time. Today, we are looking at a less necessary accessory, although one that you might want to pick up anyways. Nintendo Switch ...
If you were planning on grabbing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, or even Splatoon 2 on the Nintendo Switch, you also probably snapped up a couple extra Joy-Con controllers so you can engage in some four player local multiplayer! If you are like me, and have multiple Switch units in your house, you might have purchased even MORE Joy-Cons. While having a ton of Joy-Cons is great, and although the batteries in the controllers ...
If you wish current video games were as difficult as the games you played in the late 80s and early 90s, you are in luck if you own an Xbox One. Cuphead provides that challenging package you might be looking for, but be aware: it's really, REALLY hard, and there is a good chance you won't have a lot of fun. Cuphead will appeal to a very niche audience, but I wonder how well it will do long term.
There aren't a lot of games available right now on the Nintendo Switch, and even less selection when you begin breaking down the categories by genre. It seems that New Frontier Days might be the first city simulation game to market, and that could bode well for the company when it comes to sales.
When Bomberman was announced I was fairly excited, but when I saw the initial purchase price, I quickly stepped back. Full retail price for Bomberman? Although I was skeptical that a Bomberman title could fetch that type of financial commitment, I've changed my tune slightly while playing through it. If you plan on being very social with your Nintendo Switch, Bomberman is probably the title you will currently ...
It's been well over a week since we launched and played 1-2 Switch for the first time, and although we've had fun when playing it, the constant struggle with the entry price is making this title really hard to recommend. I've seen numerous people accurately describe this as, "A great game as long as you didn't pay for it." While the majority of this review will focus on that statement, lets kick it off by ...
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is massive, and seemingly full of outstanding feature after outstanding feature. While not everything is at 100% throughout the adventure, my low points where inevitably a result of my own short comings, not that of the game. Much time and effort went into taking the Legend of Zelda in a whole new direction, and I'm not sure Nintendo could have done any better.
March 3rd is just around the corner, and hundreds of thousands of Nintendo fans will gleefully tear into their new Nintendo Switch units and play whatever games they decide to get at launch. Console launches are somewhat frequent if you average them out - with so many major and minor companies creating new systems - but they are still always special. Nintendo launches stand out to me because they are always ...
