I'm always skeptical of Free-to-Start and Free-to-Play games, and I should be. Some games really suck you in - Simpson's Tapped Out for myself - and make you really want to spend money. And at times, it is easy to justify a few dollars especially if you are very committed. Nintendo has done an excellent job lately with their free-to-play model, and I hope it continues. For the hardcore fans, I can see the value in spending money, but for those looking for a casual experience, it is a perfect reason to keep whipping that 3DS out day after day.

If you have played Just Cause 3 already you know the story is nothing to write home about. In fact, the game appears to know where the real fun lies, and therefore, requires you to do a lot of the side missions in order to unlock more parts of the story. The question should be: how can a game like Just Cause 3 - which has been receiving 80+ from most outlets, our included - get so much praise despite a huge story problem?

Last year was the debut of the Video Game Awards, and it is back again this year. And to be honest, I didn't hate it. There was serious contention last year for specific awards - although like this year, the Golden Joysticks really sheds light on favorites - and that made for an entertaining night. The other great thing about these awards? Trailers, reveals, and a look forward to 2016. You won't want to miss it!

I've been playing Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash for a good while now, and frankly, it is not the greatest game. However, I have been reading reviews of others, and while I agree with almost 100% of what they are saying, I'm shocked by the scores I've been seeing. It has been a long while since we got a Nintendo Direct, and the roughly 45 minute presentation did not disappoint. The games I am most excited for where given even more details, and the game my son is excited for - Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival - was actually looked at in more depth. Why that was done the day before release is beyond me, but it happened.
