More Thoughts From Me #201: Ten Games I’m Looking Forward to in 2020

2019 is almost over and so of course we are all starting to think about the video games that are coming in 2020! What are you looking forward to? The following are the ten games I can’t wait to play next year!

Since everyone will be able to guess what I’m looking forward to the most in 2020, especially if you’ve read this column before, I will be starting this list with #1. Here are the games I can’t wait to play next year:

1-Animal Crossing: New Horizons: Of course this is the game I’m looking forward to the most in 2020. The Animal Crossing franchise is my favorite video game series. I play New Leaf every single day. And I can’t wait to play this game!

2-Final Fantasy 7 Remake: The original FF7 was the game that made me an rpg fan. After FF7, I was hooked for life on rpgs. The remake looks AMAZING. The graphics, the battle system, the menus, everything about it makes me want to play it right now. It would be number 1 in a year without Animal Crossing.

3-Breath of the Wild 2: So, okay, this game may not come out in 2020. In case it does though, here it is at number 3. You just know that Breath of the Wild 2 will be fantastic whenever it gets out.

4-LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga: One game! Nine movies! LEGO Star Wars has always been fun but this should be the ultimate LEGO Star Wars game. I love Star Wars. I love LEGO games. This is a no-brainer for this list.

5-Trials of Mana: I’ve never played the original Trials of Mana but this remake is jaw dropping. The graphics look as good as, if not better than, Dragon Quest 11 S. And the gameplay looks like a lot of fun. Square Enix is on a roll.

6-Supermash: When I saw this game in the recent Indie Direct, I just knew it would be a game I’d have to play in 2020. I love the idea of mashing two genres together to create randomly generated cool new games to play. Looking forward to this game a lot.

7-The Outer Worlds: For Nintendo Switch. I haven’t played the version on the Playstation 4 because I’m waiting for the Switch version. This game looks pretty cool. I really like the Fallout games. I really like outer space. Putting those together sounds awesome. This may be the closest we get to a Fallout like game on the Switch!

9-Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath: I remember playing this on the original Xbox and loving it. Stranger’s Wrath is so very different from the other Oddworld games. And its an excellent game. I’m looking forward to playing it again on the Switch.

9-Resident Evil 3: I’ve still never played the Resident Evil 2 remake, other than the demo, so I’m not sure why I put Resident Evil 3 on this list. It does look pretty cool though. Staaarsss.

10-Whatever Secret Cool Game Nintendo Has for 2020: Nintendo hasn’t revealed most of its 2020 lineup yet, so there is bound to be some really cool game coming to the Switch from them. Yes, this is a placeholder entry. lol

And those are the game’s I’m looking forward to in 2020 so far! A lot of games haven’t been revealed for 2020 yet so this list is bound to change later on. Though I’m very sure that New Horizons will remain #1 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake will remain #2. I want to play them now!
