Elder Scrolls Online gets a Release Date
Bethesda has today announced the release date for The Elder Scrolls Online. The fantasy MMO was supposed to be released earlier this year, but was delayed around the same time that next-gen versions of each were announced at E3.
The good news is that they’ve stuck to their guns and are releasing the PC version exactly when they said they would. The vague Spring 2014 is now slightly more specific. You’ll be able to pick it up worldwide, both physically and digitally I imagine, on April 4th 2014. That’s not too far away, especially for those of us still recovering from the quarter four deluge.
Next-gen versions of The Elder Scrolls Online will take a little longer to arrive. There’s no specific date for this one, instead you’ll just need to expect it in June 2014. No reason was given and no mention was made of betas, so if you’re dying to explore Skyrim with friends, it might be best to convince them to pick it up on PC.
A new trailer was released alongside the release date, this time showing off some of the PvP modes. Unfortunately, Elder Scrolls fans continue to be underwhelmed by how it looks (especially when compared to how much it could cost to play it long term).
