Rayman Legends Coming to PS4, Xbox One in 2014
Rayman Legends will be making the jump to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in February 2014, Ubisoft have today revealed. The sequel to Rayman Origins and one of the best platform games of the year was previously released on Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Vita.
It seems unlikely that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Rayman Legends will be able to outdo the Wii U version. There’s no topping 1080p and 60FPS in most cases, and it already ran especially well on Nintendo hardware. This will leave little incentive for those with the Wii U version to double dip, aside from trophies and achievements.
Still, it was an excellent title that appears to have undersold, so the opportunity for those with the new consoles to check it out is something that shouldn’t be written off. The first six months of a new console’s life cycle can be a little dry, and easygoing fun titles will be pretty welcome.
Rayman Legends is coming to next-gen consoles in February next year. There’s been no mention as to what content will be being ported – presumably everything, including the origins stuff – so watch for more information as Ubisoft talk about the port closer to its 2014 release date.
