The Hadouken Cabs PS4 Viral Video Mystery
Sony is going viral with the Playstation 4 in their latest teaser video for a company called Hadouken Cabs. The advertisement is 31 seconds of strangeness that could be hinting at a future Street Fighter title for Sony’s soon-to-be-released next-gen console. Check it out below.
Here’s where it gets even more weird. There are hidden frames (or Easter eggs, if you will) in the video, one that depicts the PS4’s controller, and another that shows the PS4’s face buttons (both shown below)
There’s also a link to the Hadouken Cabs website where you can listen to an automated message from the operator, as well as some outstanding music while they put you on hold.
The other image in the ad that’s worth noting is the cab’s license plate number (pictured below): PS1994.
This is probably referring to the December 1994 release date of the original Sony Playstation in Japan. As far as the significance of the year in regards to Street Fighter, a few things happened. Super Street Fighter II was released for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis, Super Street Fighter II Turbo was launched worldwide in arcades, and Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie came out in Japan while the rest of us were treated (tortured, really) to Street Fighter, the live-action movie.
My guess is that either Street Fighter V is going to be announced for the Playstation 4, or some sort of collection will be revealed.
