New YO-KAI WATCH Nintendo 2DS Bundle Hits Stores on November 6

The 2DS did not get as much love in the West as I would have liked, being a Nintendo fan and all. I bought one on launch day, and actually really, REALLY enjoyed it. Since I never used the 3D on my regular 3DS, and since the button placement on the 2DS fit my hands better, I used that 2DS until I received a New 3DS XL. When I bought the new system, it retailed for 129.99 in Canada. While the price remains the same, consumers will receive a copy of YO-KAI WATCH as well, which is a 40.00+ dollar value.

The 2DS is an excellent gaming alternative for children and may provide a better layout for adults as well – the hand cramps I experienced on the 3DS XL prior to using this were completely gone. Parents with concerns over the 3D technology and what prolonged viewing can do to a child’s eyesight will find an excellent alternative in the 2DS. The Nintendo 2DS can play all the games available for the Nintendo 3DS; the only games that will not be supporter are games that require the extra power of the New 3DS and New 3DS XL.

YO-KAI WATCH is a great addition for children and adults alike. From Nintendo,

YO-KAI WATCH features hundreds of sometimes cute, sometimes spooky and usually mischievous Yo-kai that inhabit our world. Players must use their YO-KAI WATCH to find Yo-kai, befriend them, and turn them into a team to battle other Yo-kai. More than 200 Yo-kai are hidden all around the world, and each Yo-kai has its own unique skills and characteristics.

According to Nintendo, YO-KAI WATCH, developed by Level-5 in Japan, has already sold 8 million copies. While the game will not get close to that in North America, fans of Pokemon and similar monster catching games will find a free twist on an old idea. Stay tuned to Games Reviews for more information as it is made available to us.
