More Thoughts From Me #189: Luigi Isn’t On A Dragon Quest
I was originally going to write about Dragon Quest 1. I will be doing a review about that game soon and I already did a preview so instead today’s column will be about something different! In honor of October and Halloween, I’ll talk about Luigi’s Mansion 3.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 comes to the Nintendo Switch later this month. A part of me excited for this game and another part of me isn’t. Let’s talk about why I’m looking forward to the game first.
In Luigi’s Mansion 3, Luigi goes into a haunted mansion (hotel) yet again. This time he’ll be going there in full HD. The graphics in this new game look amazing! Luigi has never looked better and the big hotel setting of the new game is jaw dropping. There are so many cool details, from objects to ghosts, that this game will absolutely be a visual treat.
However, I must admit that I’ve found previous games in this series to be too hard for me. Perhaps the addition of Gooigi to this new game will make it easier for people like me. Multiplayer doesn’t hurt but hopefully Gouigi will be handy in single player too.
Still, the difficulty of previous games does give me pause when thinking about this new game. Plus, I admit that I’m not too excited for the extra multiplayer modes. I’m sure some people will have fun with them but I’m not sure they are for me. I’d still like to try them though. Online multiplayer might be neat!
The main mode, Luigi hunting ghosts and looking for his friends, looks to be the most exciting part of Luigi’s Mansion 3!
I hope I get to play this game! Luigi’s Mansion 3 releasing on Halloween is just perfect!
What do you think of Luigi’s Mansion 3? Are you excited for it?
Next week: Do a barrel roll! I take a look at the original Star Fox via the Nintendo Switch’s SNES online service. Is this game still fun?
