GTA is the Biggest PS4 Game to Date
GTA V is made up of a massive explorable world and larger than life characters, but even then you probably wouldn’t expect it to weigh in at over 50GB. The EU PlayStation Store has revealed that that’ll be the size of the download, however, so digital purchasers will want to take a few hours ahead of time to download, and not expect to just play.
The new-gen GTA re-release contains all the DLC brought out for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, as well as all of the original content. That’s both the online and offline segments of the game as well, totalling some hundreds of hours of entertainment and miles of open territory. Even though it’s a remaster, it isn’t that surprising that the best version of the game will be fairly data heavy.
By comparison, The Last of Us was a bit over 40GB, and Wolfenstein was 48. It’s not a huge leap, but probably an indicator that things are only going to get bigger as developers figure out new and exciting ways of properly utilizing the new consoles.
Even if you don’t purchase online, GTA V will still be installed to your system, so make sure that you make some space if you’ve almost filled your 500GB hard drive.
