Get Final Fantasy VII For $3 Today
Often called one of the best games of all time, you can today pick up Final Fantasy VII on PC for the low, low price of $3. For the price of a cup of coffee, it’s hard to resist.
You need to purchase the code from uPlay, although it’s a Steam code and you won’t need the uPlay program at all once you have your code (available in your transaction history after you make your purchase). Unfortunately this is just for residents of the US. The UK price is still £9.99 – some four or five times the current US price – but those eligible for the $3 price should definitely consider picking it up.
With slightly improved graphics, the original music, occasionally wonky cloud saves and achievements, this is one of the best releases of Final Fantasy VII to date. As per our review, the only thing that could be improved now is the squashed backgrounds (not a problem on the Vita or PSP, but very obvious when playing on PC).
Final Fantasy VII was first re-released to digital platforms last year, although thanks to high price, restrictive DLC and changed music, it wasn’t a great purchase. It’s gradually been improved, first with a Steam release, then with an update fixing the music. $3 for a slice of gaming history, a slice that still holds up today. It might be the best bargain you get today.
