Every GTA Online player to receive $500k
Rockstar have today announced some good news for GTA Online players. As a goodwill gesture for the countless problems being experienced by players during the first couple weeks, Rockstar will be depositing half a million dollars into every bank account in GTAO over the course of the next two weeks.
Unless you’ve been one of the few who benefited from the farming glitch which allowed players to replay missions over and over again to increase their funds, a glitch which has been patched in the most recent title update, you’re sure to have noticed how hard it is to earn quick and easy money. Money will soon no longer be an issue however, or at least, not if you’re a wise spender.
The deposits of two $250000 will be rewarded to every GTAO player and will drop into your account ‘soon’. An exact date will be announced on Rockstar’s Newswire.
How this news will affect the world of GTAO remains to be seen. If every player has half a million in their wallet, it may create some unwanted consequences. Everyone will own the best property (the most expensive apartment is $400000), the best vehicles (fully modded) and more worrying, the best weapons (also fully modded of course). It may lead to some balancing issues in the near future as new players who missed out on the lucrative hand-out find themselves unfairly outgunned.
It’s hard to say no to free money though.
