DayZ Standalone Coming to Early Access Soon
A lot of us have been asking just when DayZ Standalone will be released. The top mod has been being converted to a full game for quite some time now, and apart from “when it’s ready,” and “soon,” it doesn’t seem we have much information on an actual time and date that we’ll be able to buy it. We still don’t have a set-in-stone calender entry, but it might be closer than expected.
DayZ Early Access has turned up in the Steam Database, last edited this morning. DayZ – the actual app within the DayZ Early Access package – has been updated within the last few hours. While this isn’t exactly proof that we’ll have hold of it in the next few days, it certainly seems the developers are gearing up towards something.
The only other thing of note within the package is the fact that it’s only labelled for the US territory. Whether this is an oversight, a out-of-date marker or if it genuinely means DayZ Standalone will only be available in the US to begin with is anybody’s guess. We probably won’t know until the game actually releases.
And, if previous SteamDB updates are anything to go by, is likely to be relatively shortly, perhaps even in time for Halloween.
