6 Minutes of Super Mario 3D World Footage is the Cat’s Pajamas

 Nintendo has released 6 minutes of in-game footage for their latest entry in the Mario franchise, Super Mario 3D World. The video is an overview of most of the game’s features, including all of the power-ups, which include the new Cat Suit (pictured above), and some of the co-op features. Up to four players can participate at a time, and can select either Mario, Luigi, Toad or Princess Peach. Each of them have different skills that make each stage a slightly different experience for each character, such as the extra height Luigi gets when he jumps makes it so he can access platforms most of the others normally couldn’t. Super Mario 3D World is basically a sequel to the Nintendo 3DS game, Super Mario 3D Land. Personally, I find the 3DS game to be one of the best Mario games to date, as it contained some exquisite level design and was a joy to play. 3D World appears to be going for the same kind of experience, and it looks to utilize all of the special powers and items in very clever ways. I can’t wait to try out the Cat Suit, as off-the-wall and quirky as it seems. 

Super Mario 3D World will be released for the Wii U November 22nd in North America, and November 29th in Europe.
