Upgrade to PS4 titles for as little as $10
Bought a game for PS3 but wish you bought the PS4 version instead? No worries. Sony announced at GameCom that players who buy select titles on their current console will be able to upgrade their copy to a digital PS4 counter-part for as little as $10.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Watch Dogs are all included in this promotion with Activision later confirming that Call Of Duty: Ghosts is upgradable for $10. No price has been set for those other titles, but it’s fair to assume they would follow suit. Unfortunately, the promotion is for a limited time only, probably to entice more people to make the cross-over from PS3 to PS4 sooner rather than later. The exact time frame has not been announced, and we also don’t know if it’s going to be a worldwide thing or for select countries only.
It’s worth pointing out that everything you have done in Battlefield 4 and Call Of Duty: Ghosts on the PS3 version will be carried over to the PS4 version. Your unlocks, stats, prestiges, game saves, etc will not be lost in the transition.
The PS4 will launch in North America on November 15th for $399 and November 29th in Europe for €399.
