Rayman Origins Levels to be in Legends
Ubisoft have announced that 40 of the levels from Rayman Origins will end up in Legends. Not only that, but they’ll each recieve a graphical update so that they look as good as the original levels of Rayman Legends. There were 66 levels in Rayman Origins, and if you take away the bonus and mosquito-focussed levels, that’s probably the whole game.
No word whether this is instead of the 30+ bonus levels we were told we’d be getting after the Wii U delay, but it’s hard to grumble either way (well, at this point anyway).
Great news for those that haven’t played Origins. If you have and still own it, now may well be the time to trade it. As of writing, CEX are offering £6-8 depending on platform and that’ll be likely to drop when people realize they’ve got an updated, better version of the game as part of their new Legends purchase.
In the announcement, it was stressed that the Origins levels are purely optional and will not count towards the overall Legends completion.
Legends will also come with a new mini-game. “Kung Foot” is a party game in which players – in the roles of some of their favourite Rayman characters – punch, kick and jump in the aim of scoring in the opposition’s net. Could be good fun, especially in small bursts.
Rayman Legends will be available for purchase September 3rd current-gen consoles, Wii U and Vita.
