New Hyrule Warriors Character Reveal This Week

Nintendo Japan look set to show off another playable Hyrule Warriors character this week. Although they haven’t given us anything to go on in regards to what it might be, there’s even the possibility of finding out two new characters (considering that’s been the pattern so far).

The announcement was made via the Japanese Hyrule Warriors Twitter account.

The literal Google translate reads:

98% probability of a new playable character will be published this week. It is recommended that it is checked for Weekly Famitsu.

It’s a little bit odd that they’re not entirely certain whether Tuesday’s Famitsu will contain details about the game or not. Presuming that they’re talking about the magazine – and there’s no reason to think that they’re not – it would have been written up and printed quite a while ago and is probably being shipped out today. Presuming the 2% chance becomes reality, it’s probable that Nintendo will just announce the new characters anyway, because why in hell wouldn’t they at this point, with only two months left until release?

There’s a whole host of possible characters, with Fi being top Hyrule Warriors fan theory at the minute. It’d be nice to see a few older, pre-Twilight Princess characters make a return – the jogging postman could be an awesome character, right? – but at this point anything could happen.
