BloodBath confirmed for WiiU
One of the biggest complaints surrounding the WiiU is the console’s lack of games. However, there’s an even greater absence of adult games for the system. Freedom Factory hopes to end that trend with the announcement that their new IP BloodBath (which was previously thought to be cancelled due to lack of a publisher), is now back on track to release on all major platforms including the WiiU.
Over the top mindless violence, blood, guts, and gore are all present and accounted for in this third-person, hack & slash beat-em-up. The game is set in a dystopia future where extreme violence is considered to be a sport. Pick from 6 different fighters to compete around the globe in ‘gladiator-style’ arenas filled with traps and other environmental hazards using a mixture of lethal combos and weapons. The game also features a multiplayer mode although no further info has been given on how robust or fleshed out it is or even if it’s local multiplayer or online multiplayer. How the Wii U version will differ from the PSN and XBLA counterparts is as of yet unclear. Although it’s safe to assume there will be a few deviations.
A trailer for the game was released alongside the announcement. Check it out in the embedded video below.
BloodBath will release on PSN, XBLA and WiiU. No release date has been confirmed yet.
