Pokemon Unite Announced

This morning The Pokemon Company unveiled what they teased last week as as a “Big announcement”. Given that last week announced the much demanded sequel to the cult classic Pokemon Snap, most people were expecting a new Let’s Go style game. Well, they couldn’t be further from the truth.

This morning The Pokemon Company announced Pokemon Unite, a team-based mobile battle arena game created in cooperation with China’s Tencent. It’s free-to-play PokéDOTA coming to Switch and mobile devices.

So while no doubt this will make some waves in the east, early reactions from North America haven’t been as pleased. A 5 v 5 MOBA game isn’t quite as high in demand here, but it is kind of cool to see your Pokemon gain new abilities and evolve during gameplay.
No release date was given.

Some of his favorite gaming series includes Fallout and Far Cry, he is a sucker for single player adventure games (hence his big reviews for Playstation), and can frequently be found getting down in one battle royale or another. If it's an oddball game, odds are he's all about it.
