Ghost Recon Breakpoint at Ubisoft E3 2019

With its original announcement coming in a couple weeks ago, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint was still heavily featured in Ubisoft’s E3 2019 Press Conference. Starring Joe Bernthal, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint aims to bring the most brutal and gritty survival experience the franchise has ever seen. This includes a comprehensive injury system, a variety of harsh terrain, and the buddy carry system. It also includes a temporary camp called the ‘The Bivouac’ which will be the refuge where players can rest between missions.

This time, the enemy comes from within, as a rogue faction of Ghosts has splintered off and are now hunting their former brothers-in-arms. They call themselves The Wolves. These enemies have the same training, skills, tactical awareness and arsenal available to you and will use every bit of it to hunt you down without mercy.

Players will need to take full advantage of new stealth techniques to infiltrate or evade enemy soldiers by utilizing prone blending, adaptive cover and a variety of camouflage to outsmart, outmanoeuvre and outlast the advanced enemy AI.

The full campaign will be available in solo or seamless co-op, allowing squadmates to jump in and out of the action at any time. The game features both a main storyline and a multitude of diverse side activities in its open world environment.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint will also feature a competitive online PvP multiplayer mode where your squad can test themselves against other Ghosts in fast-paced, high-action game modes.

Breakpoint will also feature persistent character progression, meaning that everything you achieve in solo, co-op or online multiplayer will contribute to to your overall progress. This includes all functional and cosmetic customizations.

Although the game looks to have plenty of content on release, Ubisoft already has plenty of plans for post-launch content that will add even more story content, weapons, equipment, game modes, missions and endgame Raids – a franchise first!

I, for one, will be closely watching this game and cannot wait to check it out later this year!
