Gears of War 4 and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Officially Announced for Xbox One: E3 Coverage
E3 2015 was a big day for Microsoft, Xbox One and all of us. It would be only fitting that we saw the conclusion of the media brief with The Coalition, formerly known as Black Tusk, revealing the first gameplay footage from Gears 4, the new Gears of War title for Xbox One.
We saw the demo showing a new protagonist JD and a female companion as the duo travels through a Locust nest, before they emerge to face new hideous enemies.
The Gears 4 gameplay footage is extremely dark, which makes it hard to tell how good it looks visually. Nevertheless, this is Gears of War we are talking about and they always spend the time perfecting the visuals along with the rest to make a complete package suitable for all the fans to love. Gears 4 is coming to Xbox One in the holiday of 2016.
We were also officially introduced to the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for Xbox One, a fully remastered version of the original game that elevated Xbox 360 during the launch back in 2006.
The title had been rumored for a long time now, so this news is not entirely surprising but it is reassuring and very much welcomed. The surprising news is that the free beta of the game is available to play now. About ten minutes after the conclusion of Microsoft’s E3 briefing Xbox users received a code through Xbox Live to download the Beta title on Xbox One.
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will be coming to Xbox One on August 25 and this will be remastered with 1080p visuals running at 60fps.
Enjoy the Gears of War 4 gameplay trailer below which we saw at E3 today.
