Bethesda’s E3 2015 Press Conference
Bethesda kicked off E3 2015 in a big way with the announcement of Doom, Dishonered 2 and Fallout 4 on June 14. This was Bethesda’s first E3 press conference and not only did they deliver but they set the bar very high for the rest of the publishers.
The upcoming Doom will be a reboot and from what we saw during E3, Doom will be visually stunning, very bloody and loads of fun. Doom will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 in the Spring of 2016.
Dishonered 2 was not much of a surprise but a great addition to the E3 briefing by Bethesda. In Dishonered 2 the user will be able to play as Emily or Corvo with each character being equipped with their set of abilities and items. Dishonered 2 will be released on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 but there wasn’t a release date or time frame given.
As we drew closer to the end of our first night at E3, Fallout 4 was announced. Fallout 4 will be released on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on November 10, 2015. One of the most impressive features of Fallout 4 has to be the insanely detailed creator. The users will be able to do much more than use sliders when creating characters, in fact you will be able to actually select portions of the face and maneuver them to best suit your needs. This is a great addition to the game. The detail doesn’t just start and stop there. We will also be able to create houses that we would like to “live” in as well as decorate them, grow food in the housing, place protective turrets around and save survivors.
Bethesda also confirmed the return of the V.A.T. combat system. This can be played in either first person or third person views.
Fallout 4 is going to be set in Boston as confirmed by the developer and as mentioned will be released on November 10, 2015.
