Batman: Return to Arkham HD Pushed Back
Apparently getting everything top notch for an HD remake of the Batman Arkham titles was going to be a lot more work than the studio thought, so today they announced they were pushing the project back indefinitely, with no new release date announced.
Steve Grayson from WB Games had this to say on a company blog post,
After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience.
I wonder if we don’t have a bigger issue here, and perhaps, if demand or hype wasn’t where the company wanted it. To me, it is fairly odd that no new release date was announced, which frankly puts this entire project into question. An other likely scenerio is that Warner is attempting to avoid problems they encountered when launching Batman: Arkham Knight on PC, where the company eventually had to pull the title because of all the problems.
Regardless of the reasons, it is a big disappointment that we won’t be getting this remake for a while. When more news surfaces regarding this delay, we will have it posted to GamesReviews.com!
