YouTuber John ‘Totalbiscuit’ Bain has been diagnosed with cancer
In a heartfelt message on twitter today, John Bain – better known as Totalbiscuit – wrote “took too long. It’s full blown cancer. Starting chemo soon, then surgery. Doctors optimistic,” leading into the plea to his readers “Don’t make my mistake. Get checked.”
John Bain later tweeted that the cancer was “missed on my first scope”.
However John did have some good news despite the recent diagnosis stating the cancer is “one of the more treatable forms and it’s not too advanced yet.” Bain has stated that due to the cancer being at a low risk level, his treatment will be a non-invasive and pill based chemotherapy until it has shrunk down small enough to be taken out with surgical intervention.
Bain is known for his sharp and somewhat satirical humour, all of which judging by the tweet below seems to have not diminished whatsoever after he heard the news.
“I hope you realise just how insufferable I’m going to be when I beat this thing. Just giving you advanced warning”
This news comes off the back of a video Bain posted on YouTube in April 2014 where Bain delivered the initial news of his as of yet undiagnosed (but theorised) bowel cancer… whilst playing surgeon simulator 2013. Bravo, sir.
Bain’s latest tweet’s have also been dotted with an optimistic outlook mixed with his trademark humour stating “On the plus side I didn’t have much hair to have fall out in the first place.”
We will keep you updated with any further developments on Bain’s progress.
