Way of the Dogg released on 360
Snoop Lion (nee Dogg) stars in Way of the Dogg, released yesterday on 360. When America Jones’s girlfriend is killed, he turns to Snoop Dogg to make his street fighting into something which may well help him get revenge. As AJ masters the rhythmic combat style, he’ll come closer to truly understanding the “Way of the Dogg.”
Yup.
Described by one forum-goer as a mix between Theatrhythm, Ouendan, and Parappa, Way of the Dogg isn’t cheesy for the sake of cheesy, instead drawing on Snoop’s love of Kung Fu films from the 70s.
From the press release:
“I’ve always dug old school Kung Fu movies,” said Snoop Dogg. “Growing up in the hood, me and the homies used to hit the Palace Theater in Long Beach to watch the double feature Kung Fu flicks and come out of the theater play fighting each other, making those old school sound effects. I wanted Way of the Dogg to pay tribute to that feeling and bring that same excitement, fused with my music, to the game.”
