New voice of Solid Snake being revealed next week
Konami took to Twitter during the night to tease fans with the voice actor who will voice Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 5.
“The moment you’ve been waiting for! Who’ll be the new voice of Snake? Find out during PRe-E3 Show, June 6 @ 10:00 PST“
David Hayter has been the voice of Snake since MGS1 in 1998 and has continued to lend his voice to the franchise until as recently as 2010 when he played Big Boss in MGS: Peace Walker. If David relinquishes his role as Snake for MGS5 then who else could fill his shoes as the iconic character?
Richard Doyle did a pretty good job as Big Boss in MGS4 and Hideo Kojima may just be considering him to take the lead role in MGS5. Let’s be honest here though, we’re all hoping and praying there is no new voice actor for Snake. It simply wouldn’t be the same without that husky voice of David Hayter.
We won’t be kept waiting. Tune in to the Pre-E3 show on June 6th for the big reveal. Meanwhile, check below for the tease video from Konami’s tweet.
