Hyrule Warriors HY-YAHing to Japan in August
We’ve all been waiting a long time for a new console entry in the Legend of Zelda franchise, and while Hyrule Warriors probably wasn’t what the majority of us had in mind, it’s in no way a bad thing. It’ll offer a fresh look at Zelda’s kingdom, and will probably benefit quite a bit from the Dynasty Warriors style. Despite all that, there’s still a lot we don’t know about the game. This is especially surprising when you realize that it’s only a few months away from release.
That’s right. The latest issue of Famitsu reveals that Hyrule Warriors will be available to purchase in Japan from August 14th. Since we’ve only seen one short-ish trailer for the game, that means there’s going to have to be a huge western blowout at some point, probably at E3. Depending on how much of a priority localisation is, Hyrule Warriors will probably make it State-side (and hopefully to EU territories as well) by Christmas.
There’s not an official translation for the scan just yet, although there’s some nice screens to look at. Speculation is that the appearance of Impa might hint at her being a playable character. Warriors games are known for their wide array of playables, so it’d be nice to think that the list might still get longer.
Expect more news about Hyrule Warriors in the following days and weeks.
