Sackboy’s First PS4 Appearance is in The Playroom
The Playroom, for those of us who invested in the new PlayStation Camera, is a collection of bonus games that are fun to play in short bursts with friends and family. It’s forced onto the console, so you can never delete it, but it’s all but useless if you don’t have the peripheral needed, and so a lot of people have managed not to see the moderate but very real fun offered. With that said, they’ve supported it well, with three free DLC packs now released. The latest update includes a very familiar character – LittleBigPlanet’s Sackboy – in his first appearance on the PlayStation 4.
The Ninja Bots update adds a new mini-game in which up to four players must brave a ninja assault course. This free DLC promises harder trophies (the others were all 100% beatable in a manner of minutes), which can all be earned by players at the same time. Sackboy is available to play with. Like Eyepet and its ilk, you’ll be able to interact with him in your living room, although early reports suggest he largely just acts as a rather high-tech bobble head.
Ninja Bots is available to download from the PlayStation store. The Playroom 1.03 update will automatically become available if you have your console on stand-by.
