Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Available on PS4
If you’ve been waiting to play an MMO on the PlayStation 4 and you’re not too keen on waiting for The Elder Scrolls Online to make the jump across, you might be happy to learn that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has been released. After trailers, screenshots, beta access and more, you’ll finally be able to take your character out for a spin on Sony’s latest platform.
To celebrate the launch, Square Enix released a brand new trailer showcasing some of Final Fantasy XIV’s features.
A Realm Reborn is the much better re-release of the original Final Fantasy XIV which received more than a few mixed reviews when it was originally launched back in 2010. It’s far more enjoyable, still looks great and is quite a nice starter MMO for anybody not used to the genre. There’s plenty of familiar Final Fantasy-type ideas in there, so fans of the single player adventures should feel right at home.
For those that already have accounts, specifically on PS3, the jump to PlayStation 4 should be completely painless. You can transfer your character across for free, although if you want to play both the PS4 and PS3 versions of the game, you’ll need to pay extra for the PS4 copy.
